Capping Machine Price: Cap Handling, Feeding and Line Scope
A capping machine price is the total of the closing station plus every cap-handling module, change part, test, delivery and installation named in the order. For a typical LEKA capping machine, allow approximately US$4,500–6,000 as an FOB planning budget. Your quotation should identify the cap-tightening machine and separately confirm the conveyor, cap elevator, cap sorter and automatic cap-placement equipment. The required cap style, bottle format and tested output determine the final configuration and price. This is a planning reference for one machine. Confirm in the quotation whether the conveyor, cap elevator, cap sorter and automatic cap-placement equipment are included, optional or separately priced. FOB describes the delivery basis; confirm the named loading port in the quotation. Incoterms do not replace the equipment list.
High-speed rotary or starwheel machines are custom projects. LEKA’s reference budget is CNY350,000–500,000, approximately US$52,200–74,600 at the European Central Bank euro reference rates dated 5 October 2026. For a high-speed rotary or starwheel configuration, LEKA provides a project-specific quotation based on your bottles, caps, target output and changeover requirements. It is not a price for every rotary design, and it is not the cost of an entire filling, capping and labeling line. The project quotation controls the currency and price.
Two quotations can be compared when both list the same cap, the same way the cap reaches the bottle, and the same line connections.
The capper tightens or locks the cap. Lifting, sorting, orientation, delivery and placement are separate steps. Each one is either included, offered as an option, or left to equipment the factory already has.
Public Price Examples
A handheld or bench capper fits when an operator can place and tighten each cap at the required pace. An automatic inline capper is the next step when bottles already move on a conveyor and the closing station has to match the filler. Lifting, sorting, placement and conveying are included only when the quotation names them. These public prices illustrate how machine configuration and included equipment affect the purchase budget. Compare the bottle or cap application, supplied modules and delivery terms before selecting a machine.

Cap handling can be a separate machine. The Kinex QuickFeed, checked 6 October 2026, is listed at US$36,500. It sorts, orients, feeds and places caps. The manufacturer describes it for flat caps, or caps with minimal external features, from 18 mm to 125 mm, and states that it does not work with pumps and dip tubes. It is a cap-handling module, not the tightening machine, and it is not a universal feeder surcharge.
| Step | What it does | How it enters the quotation |
|---|---|---|
| Lifting | Raises caps from a floor-level hopper to the sorting or collection section | LEKA-CE does this lift for plastic and metal caps after cap samples are checked. It is a separate machine, not part of the six cappers below |
| Sorting | Puts caps into a repeatable attitude before they move to the bottle | Named when the order includes a sorter. The elevator does not do this job |
| Orientation | Turns a pump, trigger, flip-top or similar closure to a required direction | Named only when that closure must face one way. The quotation states the device supplied or the manual step the operator keeps |
| Delivery | Moves the prepared cap from the sorter or collection point to the capping station | Named with the chute, feeder or existing equipment that makes the transfer |
| Placement | Sets the cap on the bottle neck | Either the operator places each cap, or the named feed system releases it |
| Tightening or locking | Finishes the closure with wheels or a claw | This is the capping machine itself. The final setting is confirmed with cap samples |
Send the cap sample before the quotation treats any of those modules as included. Air supply is listed when a pneumatic handling module is part of the order. For the mechanics of placing a cap and holding the bottle, see cap placement and bottle gripping. For whether the cap and neck match, use the bottle cap compatibility checklist.

What Changes the Quoted Scope
Manual cap placement
The machine scope is tightening, bottle holding and the conveyor section. Operators place every cap, so the equipment list stays shorter and the sustainable pace includes that hand work.
Automatic cap handling
The quotation adds the modules that lift, sort, orient and deliver the cap. LEKA-CE covers the lift into the sorting or collection section. Sorting, orientation and the chute are separate lines. A quotation that says only “automatic capping” still has to mark each of those modules included, optional or supplied by the factory’s existing equipment.

Bottle holding
LEKA-CP-A, LEKA-CP-B and LEKA-CP-A-servo hold the bottle with dual-motor belt gripping while the wheels tighten a screw cap. For LEKA-CP-C, LEKA-CP-B-servo and LEKA-CP-C-servo, the bottle-holding structure is confirmed for that configuration and the bottles in the order. Unstable, very light or unusual bottles can require extra guides, and those guides are listed in the quotation.
Changeover
Each additional bottle height, bottle diameter, cap diameter or mouth angle can be an adjustment, a format part, or a sample test. LEKA-CP-B adds angle adjustment for straight and slanted mouths. LEKA-CP-A-servo uses servo lifting when the line changes bottle height often. Cap diameter and guide width are still set for the samples.

Conveyor connection
LEKA-CP-A is quoted around a 2-meter platform. LEKA-CP-C uses a 4-meter conveyor and can stand alone or leave room for filling, sealing, labeling and coding. Transfers, conveyor height, direction and control signals are separate from the closing head. An aluminum-foil sealer matched to LEKA-CP-C is its own machine.

Testing
A useful quotation states which bottle and cap samples will run, for how long, and what placement and closing result is acceptable. Travel and witnesses are cost items when the test is not included at the factory.
Shipping and installation
Add currency, quote validity, packing, freight, insurance, installation, training and site preparation to the machine total. Compare suppliers on the same delivery basis.
Spare parts
Wheels, belts, claws and format sets for the agreed caps belong on the spare-parts list. Warranty coverage and later chargeable parts are separate from the machine price.
The bottle capping torque guide explains how closing force is evaluated. It does not add a torque figure to the machines below. Line responsibility for filling, capping and labeling is set out in bottle packaging line solutions.
Six LEKA Configurations
Use the family page for the range: capping machines. The table uses the scope published for each model. Output for every row is the rate confirmed with your cap, bottle stability, feeding method and line connection.
| Configuration | Closing action | Bottle handling | Cap path beyond the closing head | Line scope that changes the quote |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| LEKA-CP-A | Four wheels tighten common screw caps. Wheel pressure and position are set with cap samples | Dual-motor belt grip on a 2-meter platform | Hand placement, or a feeder and sorter named on the order | Matching to a filler or labeler, plus any cap-handling module |
| LEKA-CP-B | Wheels tighten screw caps on straight or slanted mouths. Angle and wheel position are set with samples | Dual-motor belt grip. Changeover includes mouth angle, bottle size and cap size | Sorting and feeding are added when the order names them | Layout connection to upstream and downstream machines |
| LEKA-CP-C | Wheel tightening for screw caps, confirmed during the line test | 4-meter conveyor. Changeover includes guide width, bottle height and cap size | Sorting and feeding are added when the order names them | Longer conveyor, transfers, and a separately matched foil sealer when the line needs one |
| LEKA-CP-A-servo | Four wheels tighten screw caps. Servo lifting changes bottle height; the closing setting is still confirmed with samples | Dual-motor belt grip | Feeder and sorter are named when supplied. Pneumatic modules bring an air-supply requirement | Repeat height changes and the line speed the capper must follow |
| LEKA-CP-B-servo | A claw locks selected special closures, and selected screw caps, after sample review | Sample setup for neck, cap height and the locking structure | Custom handling, feeder and sorter are named when supplied | The special closure itself, plus any filling-line connection |
| LEKA-CP-C-servo | An enclosed claw closes selected special closures after sample review | Dust cover and imported acrylic enclosure around the sample-based setup | Cap handling is a named project item | The enclosure and any sealing, labeling or coding connection |
What to Send
Send the product name, bottle photo and drawing, cap samples, the placement method you expect, target bottles per minute, voltage and frequency, and a simple layout of the filler and labeler if they already exist. Say which of lifting, sorting, orientation, delivery and placement should be quoted, and which your factory will keep. Before comparing a domestic listing with an export quotation, confirm the complete-machine model, the capping method, the bottle and cap range, the sample-tested output, spare and change parts, delivery terms and export support. A domestic RMB listing is not an FOB price unless the quotation says so.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why do two capping quotations differ before the options are listed?
One may include only the closing station and manual placement. The other may include an elevator, a sorter, a chute, extra format parts and installation.
What should I budget if operators place the caps?
For a typical individual LEKA capping machine, use about US$4,500–6,000 FOB as a planning budget, then list bottle holding, the conveyor section, the samples test, delivery and the labor that remains. Operator placement means the quotation has not included automatic sorting or placement. The rotary custom-project reference applies only when that machine scope is the one being quoted.
What should I add when caps must arrive automatically?
Add each module separately: lift, sort, orientation if the cap must face one way, and delivery onto the neck. LEKA-CE is the lift to the sorting or collection section.
How do I keep installation and spare parts from disappearing into the machine price?
Ask for currency, delivery terms, freight, installation, training and a spare-parts list as their own lines. Use the same delivery basis when you compare suppliers.
Which bottle and cap details decide the configuration?
Cap sample, bottle neck and height, whether the mouth is straight or slanted, how the bottle is held, and whether the capper stands alone or meets a filler and a labeler.
