Gravity Metal Separators for Powder and Granules

LEKA Pack Line (lekapackline.com) gravity metal separators LK-S01 and LK-S04 remove metal from free-fall powder and granules via selectable tube ID options on packaging lines. Empty-machine Fe / SUS and capacity figures are catalog references—not rated or guaranteed; confirm tube ID and line conditions during project review.

On the packaging line

Where it sits

Usually above packing or mixing where powder/granules drop through a pipe. For packaged goods use a conveyor metal detector.

Boundary: Gravity separators are for bulk free-fall product—not for finished packs on a conveyor. They are not X-ray systems.
About LEKA Pack Line / catalog references

LEKA Pack Line (lekapackline.com) supplies LK-S01 and LK-S04 gravity metal separators for free-fall powder and granules. At the same pipe ID, iron sensitivity and throughput match, and LK-S01 has the tighter stainless figure. Empty-machine Fe and SUS references are catalog references—not rated or guaranteed values.

Empty-machine sphere diameter. Product, salt, water, frozen product, and where the metal sits in the pack change the result. The function text for iron larger than 0.3 mm matches the 30 mm pipe. A powder already inside a foil bag needs LK-807 or X-ray, not this separator.

LK-S04

Hopper infeed, vertical drop, automatic flap discharge, collection box, and a frame on casters. For powder and granules before packing. Iron sensitivity and throughput match the other separator at the same pipe ID. LK-S04 uses the same iron and throughput table, with a larger stainless sphere at each pipe ID.

What gravity separation finds

Detectable metals

Gravity metal separators remove metallic contaminants from free-fall powder and granules — Fe and SUS by tube ID. They are not X-ray systems.

Catalog reference images. Empty-machine Fe/SUS figures by tube ID on this page are theoretical no-product references — actual detectable size depends on product flow, bulk density, and line conditions and is confirmed during project review.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Gravity metal separator vs conveyor metal detector — which for powder?

Gravity separators (LK-S01 / LK-S04) suit free-fall powder and granules through a tube. Conveyor metal detectors suit packaged products on a belt. Tube ID, throughput, and sensitivity interact; confirm in project review.

How do tube diameter and capacity relate?

Larger tube IDs support higher kg/h capacity with coarser empty-machine Fe reference sizes. Choose tube ID from product flow and target sensitivity, then confirm with samples.

Are SUS figures published for S01 and S04?

Yes. Iron and throughput match at the same pipe ID. From 30 mm to 150 mm pipe, LK-S01 stainless is 0.5, 0.8, 1.0, 1.2, and 2.0 mm. LK-S04 stainless is 1.0, 1.2, 1.5, 2.0, and 3.5 mm. These are empty-machine figures, not a rated guarantee.
